SHKP wins Three Asian Excellence Recognition Awards

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) won three top honours in the first Asian Excellence Recognition Awards given out by the noted Corporate Governance Asia magazine. The awards were for investor relations, environmental responsibility and Chief Financial Officer, in recognition of SHKP's seasoned management.
Investors were asked last year to evaluate companies and non-profit organizations on the mainland, in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines and other Asian countries on financial performance, business ethics, investor communications, corporate social responsibility and environmental practices.
SHKP follows high standards of corporate governance and received accolades for Best Investor Relations, Best Environmental Responsibility, and Asia's Best CFO for Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer Patrick Chan.
Mr Chan was pleased with the top honours, saying: "We always strive to maintain the high standards of business ethics and corporate governance, and to live up to our corporate social responsibility, and these awards recognize our efforts. We will continue following rigorous standards of corporate governance and effective monitoring, delivering timely information to shareholders, investors and other parties, as well as ensuring that our business meets the criteria for sustainable development."
