Sun Hung Kai Properties appoints new director
The directors of Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP – stock code: 16) announced today that Victor Lui Ting has been appointed an executive director with effect from April 12.
Mr Lui has been with SHKP for 35 years and became an executive director of the Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency in 1999, most recently responsible for the sales and marketing of commercial and residential developments including International Commerce Centre, Millennium City, The Cullinan, The Arch, Imperial Cullinan, The Wings and Park Island. Mr Lui is also responsible for the acquisition and disposal of non-core property investment projects of the Group.
SHKP Chairman and Managing Director Thomas Kwok expressed his confidence in Mr Lui saying: “Victor has been with the company for over three decades overseeing key business areas including sales and leasing. His acute understanding of customers’ needs will be essential to the company’s continued success and is set to ensure operational excellence at board level.”
SHKP Chairman and Managing Director Raymond Kwok called the appointment of Mr Lui a step in further strengthening the company’s executive team. He said: “Victor has a sound track record over the years and we have absolute confidence that he will fulfil his duties as an executive director and work closely with other members of the board to guide the company forward.”
Mr Lui said: “I am grateful to the board for entrusting me with this appointment. I will approach the directorship with a strong sense of responsibility and use my experience to help ensure the company is well managed and operated with the collective effort of all the board members.”
Mr Lui replaces former executive director Chan Kai-ming who passed away on 28 March 2012.
Biography of Victor Lui Ting
Victor Lui Ting is 57 and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has been with SHKP since 1977, most recently as a director of the Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency responsible for the sales and marketing of many large residential developments and the acquisition and disposal of non-core property investment projects.
