The Group has a American Depositary
Receipt (ADR) programme in the U.S., sponsored by Citibank.
This helps to enhance the Company's corporate image and
visibility in the U.S. and broaden its shareholder base.
An ADR is a form of negotiable certificate evidencing
ownership of shares in a foreign company. They are attractive
to U.S. investors because they are quoted and traded
in U.S. dollars, and are governed by U.S. trading and
settlement procedures. ADRs minimise the transaction
cost to investors, thereby enhancing liquidity. The
underlying shares which the ADRs represent remain on
deposit in the issuer's home market.
